Hello friends, it has been a while since I dropped into your email so I thought I’d give you a little update on what’s going on in Pure Joy Creative world. As I’m sure you can relate, life is FULL. (You’ll remember I hate using the word “busy”…you can find a post about that a few months back.) My kids keep growing, I’m required to show up to my job since I like to receive a paycheck, my kids keep wanting to eat, laundry never ends, and the sports seasons just run right into one another. We are moving swiftly into baseball and softball season for 4 of my 6 kids. The first game for my oldest son is on Tuesday and honestly I’m so excited. I LOVE baseball so I’m ready to watch him play. Also, my husband is helping coach so I get to see both of them doing things they love! My younger ball players have started practice but won’t have games until late April because it’s just the town rec leagues. But three kids running to different practices each night keeps me running.
My senior has sort of completed all her big milestone things for the year. Her senior recital was a smashing success and I’m so proud of all the hard work she put into her one hour performance. She had her last choir concert and her last theatrical play. Now all that’s left is prom, state choir performance and the awards banquet before graduation. Oh and did I mention that she graduates the same day her 8th grade sister does?! Talk about a full weekend! And the week before that my preschooler will have her graduation ceremony as well. Yup, you read that right…three graduations within a week of each other, all levels…pre-school, 8th grade and 12th grade. So crazy. It is obvious that God has planned this all out because this is not the way I would have done it. But HE is faithful and will sustain us through it all.
So, as you can tell there’s good reason that I’ve been pretty quiet around here. I am still working on things behind the scenes but things are taking more time lately.
New stickers are being created every month and my Patreon subscribers get them in their hands first. Check it out, it’s a great way to get happy mail every month and to make sure you have goodies on hand for gifts, or to just brighten up your spaces! I cannot wait for you to see the stickers I have coming the next few months. I’m so excited to be able to bring the Word of God to you in beautiful ways!
I listed 8 new stickers today so go check out my etsy shop and see what’s new. I have four smaller designs. I thought it would be fun to print some 2 inch stickers and I think they’re so cute! One other thing you may notice is that I did raise my price on stickers 20 cents. It’s not much but with the rising cost of shipping -since I ship stickers for free- I felt the need to increase the cost a bit to help with my overhead.
I am working on my biggest church custom painting and I am so excited for it. This custom order is for a 16x20 watercolor painting of a church in Michigan for my customer to give to her parents. Yes, big projects intimidate me but mostly I’m enjoying the process and taking my time to make sure it’s just right for them (I’m not gonna say perfect, because I am far from it). I would love to paint your church…or a group of churches for your Pastor…those are some of my favorite things to paint!
This is the most recent 8x10 church painting that I’ve done. I’ve been blessed to paint this church four times and it’s always fun!
Anyway, I’ve kept you long enough. Come check out my shop and see what’s new since the last time you dropped by. I’ve got lots of great items that would be perfect for Easter baskets and Mother’s Day, not to mention graduations. I love custom orders too, so let me know what you have in mind.
Have a great week friends! I’m so grateful that you are here!!!
