Doxological blessings

I love that fact that we can speak and pray blessings for people. We can say “may the Lord bless you and keep you” and know that the Lord has heard our prayer. We can ask the Lord to shine his face and be gracious to our friends and even ourselves. We can ask the Lord to look upon us and give us peace. What a tremendous blessing that we are able to ask these things and share them with others.

At the end of each school day, at the classical school my kids attended until 2017, they would all meet in the gym for dismissal and would be instructed to turn to a friend whom they would recite these Bible verses to. What a great way to send a group of kids out into the world, with these words on their hearts. I love that.

The words were penned to help me remember to share that blessing with others. I drew them once for the school to hang in their lobby as well. This design came out of that same desire but was a little more simplistic than the first design I made. My original design was first put on postcards and greeting cards which have sold over 500 times.

It struck me a couple of months ago that I had never put this design on a sticker, so at that moment I had to make it happen. And I’m so glad I did. I love that this sticker will be given a place to live on water bottles and laptops, on notebooks and candles. It will be given as a gift and shared with friends who need encouragement. One of the biggest blessings in this business is knowing how you use the things I design. It means the world to me to hear your stories. So, thank you for sharing those stories with me!
