Hi friends,
As we get further into Lent and consider our great need for our Savior let us ponder the gift of His love. We celebrated the birth of Jesus a mere two months ago and now we are pondering the greatest gift He gave us. The Bible talks about being one with Christ in His death and resurrection. The gift of eternal life, of being brought back from the dead is mind-blowing. Because we were dead in our sin, we were born sinners and brought back to life because of the gift of Jesus' death and resurrection. There's nothing better in life, this free gift from Jesus is worth everything to me. I pray that as the season of Lent continues we can all focus on this amazing truth!
in His grip,
+Jamie

What I'm reading
I'm reading a fantastic book called "It is Finished" by Charles Martin this Lent and I have been given new insight, encouragement and reassurance of my need for a Savior and the gift of Jesus' death and resurrection. This book is perfect for the Lenten season but honestly I would still want to read it even if it wasn't during Lent. So, check it out, I promise it will leave you wanting more of Jesus and less of yourself.

Small business spotlight
Ewe Leave me in Stitches is a handmade clothing boutique for kids and I LOVE what I have purchased from this company. This peaches and baseball shirt is one of my favorites and looks great on my 3-year-old. I love the pattern of the fabric and the contrasting sleeve color. I have another shirt of the same style with different fabrics for my daughter and I had her use the same fabric to make me a pouch for my gratitude journal because I loved it so much. The quality of these shirts is amazing and very well sewn and durable. I'm grateful to be able to support this other mom-owned small business and I know you will love her items too if you are in the market for adorable, well made children's clothing. Check her out on Facebook and her website.
Recommendations and referrals
Have you ever used apps to help you save and earn money? I'm not talking about these game apps where you get gift cards for playing games, while those may be legit, I don't need more reasons to be on my phone. I'm talking about the quick, scan a receipt or purchase what you're already purchasing and get rewarded type of apps. I use two pretty regularly that are simple to use, don't require me to be on my phone a lot and allow me to save up points to get gift cards. Why not get money back for things you're already doing right?
One is called Upside and I use it when I buy gas. The app shows you gas stations near your location (perfect while traveling) that use their app as well. You just check in, use the card you've declared you'll use in the app and then claim it. You may get pennies or sometimes you get more cash back, but each gas purchase adds up. If you use my link we'll both get a $5 bonus. Just download the app and use code: CFF3V
The other app I use is called Fetch. This app simply scans my receipts and gives me points. I get 25 points for every receipt (even the receipt for my chiropractor) and some receipts are worth more if I've purchased things they have listed on the app. These points then get transferred to gift cards. Again, if you use my referral code we both get a little something! When you download the app use code: RF48EY
