A Personal Update
Hi friends, I hope that spring has come to visit you and hopefully it will stick around for a while. If you live in the north you may still have some snow but spring is coming. And with spring comes BASEBALL and softball season and I am very excited. It’s my favorite time of the year.
This year, just like last year, we have four kids playing on five different teams so if you can’t find us we’ll be at the ball field. But I love it. My oldest sons baseball season has started off really well, they are now 3-1 and he was so close to hitting the ball over the fence last night and of course it was at a game that I watched on game changer and listened to online. I’m so proud of him and am grateful for the chances I do get to go watch him play.
I’ve been making time to create as much as possible but it’s tricky with work, ball schedules, end of the year activities and the three graduations coming up. Balance is tricky that’s for sure. I try to keep track of everything but inevitably something falls through the cracks. I’ve had to admit to a friend that I totally forgot about her painting (so thankful for her grace) and I THINK my kids are good with all their homework, practices, chores, etc.
It’s in these full seasons that I often feel guilty when I need a break, I feel like I should be doing something, anything other than resting. But I’m learning to be kind to myself and remember that God rested too.
NEW PRODUCT ALERT

I had so much fun painting these floral backgrounds and then a lightbulb moment brought me to these semi-custom cards. I love how they turned out.
The backgrounds are painted but there’s plenty of space for me to write whatever sentiment you’d like, or I can send it blank and you can add your own sentiment. I love that the floral design wraps around to the back. These are so sweet and beautiful and I cannot wait to see how you use them!

A SPACE FOR SOME OF MY FAVORITES
If you haven’t read a book by Heather Kaufman, may I recommend that you pick up one of her books? They are so good. Her new “Women of the Way” series is a series of 3 books (two of which are on bookshelves and the third is in editing) about women who would have crossed paths with Jesus. Her historical fiction writing brings the Bible to life. Het style helps you get immersed in the culture and want to be friends with the characters whom she portrays. The first book, Up from Dust, follows along with Martha (the sister of Lazarus and Mary) and it is so encouraging and filled with hope. The second book, Before the King, introduces us to Joanna a bit more than we find in the Bible. Again, Historical Fiction isn’t meant to be a history text book but yet we get an idea of how people lived, what the culture was like and how people interacted. It’s been a long time since I’ve read fiction with a pencil in hand ready to underline the great quotes within the pages. These books are so fantastic and definitely worth your time.
Everyday Dose is still my go to drink in the morning. It provides me some gut balancing energy without the jitters and no crash. You can get 5 free travel pouches when you give Everyday Dose a try with my link. I have started adding protein powder to my Dose and it is a game changer. A nice way to get more protein in without having to eat more meat…not that I don’t love meat.
I pray that you have an incredible week and month. Let’s take time to rest. Rest without guilt. Rest and recharge. Rest is not laziness so don’t get the two confused. I pray that you see how God is blessing you daily. And as always, let me know what I can create for you next!
