The little pictures were so much fun to draw and the Bible passage from Hebrews is a great reminder to all of us. The race that we run here on earth is TOUGH but we have Jesus on our side so we can run with endurance knowing that HE is with us. Whether we are a student, a boss, a worker, a mother, an athlete, an artist, a scholar, no matter what we have a race set before us and the best and greatest and loudest cheerleader in our corner. What a gift. Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Our race. Set before us. Not someone else’s race. God goes in front of, next to and behind us all the way.

I had so much fun with this custom order but it didn’t start out so easy. I had to start over three times before I felt like I was creating a piece worthy of this great friend and customer of mine. I LOVED painting this piece and it came together pretty quickly. I used a medium to add some texture to it and some fun things in the background to give it more dimension and texture as well. I love how it turned out and when I delivered it to her I saw it in the room where it would hang and the colors matched her space so well…that was totally a God thing.
