Sacred Beauty a 2025 Calendar

When I decided that I was going to create a new calendar for this coming year I was stuck on what to do for the calendar. Last years “Dwell” calendar just sort of fell in my lap while I was painting small houses one day. So, I was hoping that would be the case this year as well but I did a little more thinking and pondering and deciding this year.
I knew that there would be flowers involved because flowers are my favorite things to paint and draw. As I was deciding which flowers to paint I thought about the birth month flowers and decided to go with that. It is hard to find two birth month flower lists that are the same so if you see one that you’re not used to just trust me that it was on a list some where. I consulted quite a few birth month flower lists and talked with friends about which one to choose as well. When it all comes down to it, I chose which flower seemed to represent the month the best. Then I wasn’t sure if I wanted to use watercolor or acrylic paint for these paintings. I ultimately decided to go with watercolor because it allowed me to make the paintings more light and clean.
I was trying to think of a theme for the verses but then I decided that I wanted to switch things up and use hymn verses. I asked my friend who is an avid reader, bibliophile, and #hymnnerd if she’d be willing to help me pick 12 hymns/verses for the calendar and she jumped at the opportunity. I did change a few things and added one hymn that wasn’t on her list but her choices were on the mark.
Once everything was decided I got to work on writing all the verses, drawing and painting the flowers. Then I had to scan it all in and clean it up before deciding on a layout for the calendar pages, grids and images. I am pleased with the outcome and hope you like it too. The calendar is simple in its layout but profound in its content and beauty. I pray that the words of the hymns and the beauty of the flowers will remind you of how much you are loved because you are surrounded by such Sacred Beauty.
The calendar is being offered in two sizes this year. You can get Sacred Beauty as an 8.5x11 wall calendar or, new this year, as a 10x5 desk calendar. Both options offer beauty and the sacred hymns. When the months are over you can cut apart the calendar to display your favorite hymns and flowers around your home or office all year.
Which calendar will you be getting this year? And who do you think could use this calendar in their home as well? It would make a great gift.
If you are local to me and would like to purchase a calendar, let me know by replying to this email. I will be placing a bulk order and can include you on that.
Thanks so much friends for your continued support and encouragement of my little business, it means the world to me.
